Idiocy International
Anyone who has watched the sad decline of Amnesty International over recent years would be hard-press to disagree with Peter Hitchens' analysis: it is now less concerned with freeing prisoners of conscience than with saving from the death penalty killers without conscience. I suspect the best explanation for this is John O'Sullivan's First Law:
All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing. I cite as supporting evidence the ACLU, the Ford Foundation, and the Episcopal Church.
Since November 2nd, Amnesty really has outdone itself. Powerline has a poignant post on the despicable new depths the organisation has reached.
