Left-wing blogger Tim Ireland, who has a web site calling for serious anti-war figures to vote for the candidate most likely to defeat Labour in their constituency, answers the criticism that his tactics will aid the Conservative Party.
It's actually a pretty good point that Blair's appeal to the Left in both the war on terror and every election since the war on terror began has been along the same lines: if you don't like me, there's always something worse. I can appreciate why those on the Left who don't accept it as a good reason to support the bombing of Iraqis also shouldn't see it as a good reason to vote for the man who made it happen.
